Madison Marquette is pleased to announce the appointment of industry veteran Peter Tomai as Managing Director, Investments. In this role, Tomai will lead the next phase of Madison Marquette's value add development efforts. Initially focusing on the company's New Jersey assets in Asbury Park, Montgomery Township and Harrison Township, he will also be managing capital and investor relations in connection with these assets and follow-on investments.

Under Tomai’s direction, Madison intends to break ground on at least one new retail mixed-use development and advance its ongoing re-invention of the Asbury Park Waterfront with the renovation of the historic Fifth Avenue Pavilion and Band shell in Asbury Park. “I am thrilled to help lead Madison’s drive to create successful, memorable places. Madison Marquette has long been leading the redevelopment of Asbury Park, with a remarkable 300,000+ square foot re-imagination of the historic boardwalk which has helped restore the broad appeal of this storied Atlantic shore beachfront community. In addition to Asbury Park, Madison Marquette is also establishing a dynamic new 385-acre mixed-use destination in Harrison Township, NJ (Richwood) and developing a 270,000 square foot town center near Princeton University in Montgomery Township (Montgomery Promenade).
Prior to joining Madison Marquette, Tomai’s public company experience includes Senior Vice President of Great Wolf Resorts (Nasdaq:WOLF) where he lead the development of over 2.5 million square feet of mixed-use destination resort product and, Executive Vice President of American Skiing Company (Nasdaq:SKI). Peter also founded and grew a vertically integrated private development firm, which developed diverse product types including mixed-use master-planned communities, adaptive reuse, and resort condominium-hotel projects. Peter began his career in New York City at National Westminster Bank, where he specialized in M&A, commercial real estate, and was a central member of the bank’s asset recovery committee. He studied mechanical and management systems engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and received a degree in finance and international business diplomacy from Georgetown University.
